Terms of use
The agreement between you and us when you use the FitX app or this website: what you can expect from FitX, and what we expect from you.

The agreement
FitX is a workout app for lifters and their coaches, on iPhone and Android. Lifters log their sessions and follow programs; coaches build programs and manage clients. These terms are an agreement between you and Sakar HamaSaeed HamaSalid, an independent developer in Erbil, Iraq, who runs the FitX app and fitxapp.net under the name FitX ("FitX", "we", "us").
By creating an account or using the app or this website, you accept these terms and our Privacy policy. If you buy a paid plan, our Subscription terms apply too. If you do not agree, do not use FitX.
Who can use FitX
You must be at least 13 years old to use FitX. If you are under the age of adulthood where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
You may not use FitX if the law where you live forbids it, or if we have closed your account before for breaking these terms.
Your account
- You sign in with your own phone number and a code we send to it. Give true details and keep them up to date.
- One account per person. Do not share it, sell it or let someone else use it.
- Keep your phone and password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account until you tell us it was misused.
- If you think someone else got into your account, email us at once.
You can delete your account at any time, as described in the Privacy policy.
Acceptable use
Use FitX for its purpose: logging training, following programs and coaching. Do not:
- Break the law, or help someone else break it.
- Harass, threaten or deceive other users, or pretend to be someone else.
- Post content that is illegal, hateful, sexual, violent, or that you have no right to share.
- Send spam or advertising to other users.
- Try to get into accounts, data or systems that are not yours, or test, scrape, overload or break FitX.
- Copy, change, resell or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
- Get around paid features or limits.
If you break these rules, we may remove content, limit features or close your account, as described under Ending the agreement.
Coaches, clients and your content
You own what you put into FitX: your logs, programs, notes and messages. You give us permission to store, copy, show and send it only as needed to run FitX for you, for example to sync it across your devices or show it to the coach or client you share it with. This permission ends when your content is deleted.
You promise you have the right to share what you post, and that it does not break these terms or anyone else's rights.
FitX is a tool that connects coaches and clients. FitX reviews a coach's application before the coach is listed in the app, but that review does not check or guarantee the coach's qualifications, and FitX does not employ or certify coaches. FitX is not a party to any arrangement between a coach and a client, and it does not collect, hold or pass on any payment between them. Coaches are responsible for the programs and advice they give, and for having any qualification or permission the law requires where they work. Clients decide for themselves whether to follow it.
Health and safety
FitX records and organises your training. Any program, session, set or weight shown in FitX is general information, not medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment. FitX does not replace a doctor or a qualified professional, and it does not promise any result.
Exercise carries a risk of injury. Check with a doctor before you start or change a training program, especially if you have a health condition, an injury, or are pregnant. Stop and get help if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath.
You train at your own risk and are responsible for the exercises, weights and programs you choose, whether you wrote them or a coach did.
Paid features
You can use FitX for free. Some features need FitX Pro or a coach plan, and the app shows which before you buy.
Paid plans are sold only by in-app purchase through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Billing, renewal, cancelling and refunds are covered in our Subscription terms.
Apple and Google
If you got FitX from the Apple App Store, these points also apply:
- This agreement is between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
- You may use the app on any Apple device you own or control, as the App Store usage rules allow.
- We, not Apple, provide maintenance and support for the app. Apple has no duty to do so.
- If the app does not meet a warranty that applies by law, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid for the app, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty duty for the app.
- We, not Apple, handle any claim about the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- If someone claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and resolving that claim.
- You confirm that you are not in a country under a United States government embargo or named by the United States as supporting terrorism, and that you are not on any United States list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Send questions, complaints or claims about the app to us, using the details under Contact.
- You must follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your mobile data plan.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you.
If you got FitX from Google Play, Google Play's terms of service apply to your use of the store and to purchases you make there.
Our app and brand
The FitX app, this website, the FitX name and logo, and the exercise library, designs and text we made belong to us or to those who licensed them to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app for yourself while these terms apply. Everything not given here stays ours.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
Changes and availability
We work to keep FitX running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free or the same. We may add, change or remove features, and the app may be down for maintenance or for reasons we do not control.
Keep the app up to date: older versions may stop working. If we remove a paid feature you are paying for, we tell you in advance and you can cancel.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using FitX and delete your account at any time.
We may limit or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect other users or FitX. Where we can, we tell you first and explain why. If you think we got it wrong, email us.
Closing your account does not cancel a store subscription; see the Subscription terms. The sections on your content, health, our app and brand, liability and governing law continue after the agreement ends.
Our responsibility to you
We provide FitX "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we give no promises beyond those in these terms, including that FitX fits a particular purpose.
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for: injury or loss from training, from a program, or from a coach's advice; content other users post; indirect losses such as lost profits or data; or events outside our reasonable control.
To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for FitX in the 12 months before the claim.
None of this limits any right you have that the law does not allow us to limit, such as responsibility for death or injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Iraq. Disputes are decided by the courts of Iraq, unless the law where you live gives you the right to go to your local courts.
Before going to court, please email us so we can try to sort it out together.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, we update the date at the top. If a change matters to you, we tell you in the app or by message before it takes effect. If you keep using FitX after that, you accept the new terms; if you do not, you can delete your account.
